SGRV Attorney Neal R. Troum Officially Recognized as a Member of the Firm

Spector Gadon Rosen Vinci P.C. Member Neal R. Troum was elevated to his new position with much fanfare during the firm’s annual holiday celebrations. The firm’s Executive Committee collectively reached and agreed upon this decision and joyfully announced it before SGRV attorneys and staff. Such an important elevation of an attorney to this position should not come as a surprise to those who are familiar with the outstanding work Mr. Troum has performed alongside SGRV’s top litigators in various high-profile cases.

Mr. Troum has provided unprecedented assistance to the firm and its endeavors since joining SGRV originally as Counsel. As a result of numerous successful verdicts and settlements made in favor of his clients, in addition to having claimed the title of a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer, Mr. Troum has proven himself to be an attorney worthy of the title of Member, and a valuable asset to the firm. One of Mr. Troum’s recent successes with SGRV came out of the case of Jones v. 21st Century Insurance Company, et al., No. 16-CA-7089, 13th Judicial Circuit, Hillsborough County, Florida, in which SGRV Shareholder and Director George M. Vinci, Jr. and Mr. Troum‘s diligence and tireless work ethic helped secure the entrance of the court into summary judgment for Defendants Jessica Lanifero and Kubicki Draper, P.A., granting the motion filed by Vinci and Troum.

Another of Mr. Troum’s triumphs was also made alongside SGRV Shareholder and Director George M. Vinci, Jr. The two obtained an amazing result for their clients in the adversary bankruptcy litigation proceeding Lightsway Litigation Services LLC v. Wimar Tahoe Corporation, et al., Bankr. D.Del. Adv No. 10-50289. Filed in 2010, the Lightsway adversary action did not go to trial for twelve years. The case was tried before the Hon. Mary Walrath, United States Bankruptcy Judge, over ten days in November and December 2022. On August 17, 2023, Judge Walrath issued her Opinion and Order soundly rejecting Plaintiff’s claims of mismanagement. the Court entered judgment in favor of the Defendants and against Plaintiff. In a case where the stakes could not have been higher, Messrs. Vinci and Troum successfully defended their clients against complicated commercial claims and obtained defense judgments in this long-suffering litigation.

Neal R. Troum is a Member of the firm’s Philadelphia Commercial Litigation department. He is a seasoned litigator, whose experience includes securities litigation, complex adversary bankruptcy litigation, insurance defense, products liability, banking and commercial paper, and general contract and tort disputes. He previously worked at Sprague & Sprague and Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young in Philadelphia.

Mr. Troum has written extensively on the Federal Arbitration Act and other topics. He is an adjunct professor at Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he teaches Arbitration Law and Procedure, and he authored BNA Bloomberg’s litigation reference materials on the Federal Arbitration Act.
