Mr. Troum graduated in the top third of his class at Stanford Law School, where he served as an editor on the Stanford Law Review. Following law school, he spent two years clerking on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Troum is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Virginia, where he graduated with Highest Distinction and a double distinguished major. Mr. Troum went on to receive his Master’s Degree with Distinction from the University of Virginia.

Mr. Troum has written extensively on the Federal Arbitration Act and other topics. He is an adjunct professor at Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he teaches Arbitration Law and Procedure, and he authored BNA Bloomberg’s litigation reference materials on the Federal Arbitration Act.

In 2023, Mr. Troum, alongside SGRV Shareholder and Managing Director George M. Vinci, Jr., obtained an amazing result for their clients in the adversary bankruptcy litigation proceeding Lightsway Litigation Services LLC v. Wimar Tahoe Corporation, et al., Bankr. D.Del. Adv No. 10-50289. Filed in 2010, the Lightsway adversary action did not go to trial for twelve years. In a case where the stakes could not have been higher, Messrs. Vinci and Troum successfully defended their clients against complicated commercial claims and obtained defense judgments in this long-suffering litigation.

Mr. Troum was most recently selected as a 2023 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer.

Mr. Troum is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Arizona.
