Spector Gadon Rosen Vinci P.C. Of Counsel Brooke C. Madonna has secured the dismissal of a lawsuit filed by Keller Williams Black Label and the Condo Shop against her clients, Andrea Desy Edrei, founder and operating partner of Serhant, Societe Select, Michael Skokowski, head of operations and Kailey Bondiskey, head of creative, ending a more than an 18-month dispute between the two Philadelphia luxury real estate brokerages. Judge Paula A. Patrick ruled in favor of her clientson Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, granting summary judgment, dismissing all claims with prejudice before it went to trial.

In April 2023, shortly after Serhant entered the Philadelphia market, Black Label and the Condo Shop sued our clients as well as Serhant Pennsylvania and Ryan Serhant individually, claiming that herclients “looted Black Label, by plundering its clients, intellectual property, confidential information, and personnel, while crippling its ability to operate” before leaving to launch Serhant’s Philadelphia brokerage.

Ms. Madonna will be featured in The Philadelphia Inquirer regarding her success for her client in addition to already having been featured and quoted in Philadelphia Business Journal (subscription required). She expressed to both publications,

“After a year and seven months of defaming my clients in and out of the real estate community, pursuing a frivolous lawsuit and improperly attempting to interfere with their business relationship with Serhant, my clients have finally been vindicated. The Court found that KWBlack Label could not produce any evidence to support a single claim alleged in the Complaint, and they could not point to any damages sustained, let alone the 10 million plus dollars of damages they claim to have incurred. I am very happy that justice was served and that every single claim was dismissed with prejudice.  Now my clients can get back to doing what they do best – selling real estate”.
